Session: Sustainable Finance: Considerations Across the Beef Supply Chain
Myriah Johnson holds a B.S. in ag economics from Oklahoma State University, a M.S. in ag economics and a Ph.D. in animal science from Texas A&M University. She grew up on a cattle, wheat and soybean farm in Oklahoma and remains involved today.
Myriah joined Farm Credit Services of America in 2022 as Vice President, Corporate Sustainability to start their sustainability program. As such, she launched work across multiple internal business units and conducted innovative sustainable agricultural finance research. Further, as one of the early Farm Credit Associations involved in this area, she has influenced the philosophy of the Farm Credit System on the topic. In May 2024 Myriah joined the Farm Credit System’s Sustainability workgroup.
Myriah previously held positions at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the Noble Research Institute where she became involved with the U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (USRSB), a multi-stakeholder initiative developed to advance, support, and communicate continuous improvement in sustainability of the U.S. beef value chain.
