Carlos M. Saviani is Cargill’s Beef Sustainability Director. In this role, he leads the development and execution of strategic sustainability initiatives within Cargill’s beef business to drive progress in key environmental and social impact areas, reducing risk and delivering commercial value. Carlos has more than 30 years of diverse experience in global protein and environmental sustainability strategies, including leadership roles at dsm-firmenich, Pfizer/Zoetis, Merial, ABS and World Wildlife Fund –– and the management of a 2,000 head beef ranch. He holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Sao Paulo and an MBA from the Business School of Sao Paulo and Rotman School of Management – University of Toronto.
